You either want your car to exaggerate, complement, or match your very essence. I’m of the later camp which leads me to love subtlety and restraint while still exemplifying an unyielding drive for progress in order to arrive at an elevated state of being. I’m extremely into the Korean brands because it’s like looking into a mirror and watching them grow at the same rate and arrive at the same place of maturity as myself.
Hopefully they get to a point where they benchmark themselves because it seems like every brand is at their best when they are focused on besting themselves instead of the current front runners.
Changing perceptions without preaching or pestering is a slow process but the peace you find is worth the work. That’s a portion of my ethos anyways. Well, more like a subset of my nind.

I want my car to be the sort of person I admire but can’t be. I’m an introvert who likes to blend in and avoid attention in person, but I enjoy driving my alter ego and the more racecar it appears, the better.

I posit that the scribe of this diatribe did indeed consult a thesaurus in order to select the obfuscating gaggle of lexicon employed in the title of this post.
I, on the other hand, did not.

That’s really interesting! I’m actually the same way but can’t help but to buy cars that are similarly introverted, however I spend a lot of my time dreaming about the outer racecar my inner-self wishes it could be.

rare, exotic, or obscure.
IMO if it can be defined in a single word it’s absolutely useless as it’s own word.

I don’t know... I’m a fairly boring, soft-spoken farmer who’s idea of a good night involves Italian food and watching metal casting videos (among other things) on YouTube... My daily driver is a 2005 GMC Jimmy, a nice reliable 4wd, 4 seater SUV. This does suit me pretty well, but how do you explain my second car: a bright blue C3 Corvette with a loud exhaust?
